The copy I watched, there was no subtitle for the part where the lawyer holds up the newspaper to the witness on the hospital bed. I know it was something to do with his son, and the incident with the truck, but does anyone remember what the actual headline and story was?
shareI don't know what it said but I think it was fairly obvious that the gang had Whistle's son killed in a motorcycle "accident" to coerce him into not turning informant to the police. The Triad lawyer then shows Whistle a picture of his family, and you can see that he has at least 2 other children, so Whistle understandably complies. He later commits suicide in the police hospital.
