Vanessa should have known

Her hair was pretty and she was far from fat. She fell right into their claws and did exactly what they were hoping she'd do, self destruct, become paranoid about her weight, cut off her hair and suicide attempt. You really have to know who you are. Somebody can say the world is made of cream cheese but you know that's not true. It's easy to say words to hurt somebody, you have to know who you are. She was skinnier than any of those bitches. Tony was a coward, he turned on Vanessa the minute those girls hated her, people are sheep and do not have the guts to stand up for what is right, he liked Vanessa then turned on her over jealous bullies. What a coward. The black girl who befriended Vanessa was a real friend and it's obvious those bitches were insecure and jealous

It's middle school. People are very gullible and impressionable at that age.

There's a party on your face and I'm about to dance on it.

At her age, every hurtful comment feels like the truth. So even though she thought her hair looked okay and she was thin enough before, after their comments she didn't know how to feel. Believe me, words can have that effect.

she had the most gorgeous hair ever. All the other girl's hair were plain and ordinary.
