High School Or Middle School?

When I first saw this movie I just assumed that they were in high school. But through out the movie I couldn't tell if they were graduating middle school or high school. In the movie they have biology class, they don't really have that in middle school. But the way all the characters act it seems like that their in high school. They look too old to be in middle school and just right for high school but when Nikki says "Colleges don't care if you do extra work in middle school but they do care if you shoplift." Also when their talking about finals, they don't have that in middle schools only high school exams.

Well my school didn't have finals for grade eight. Well technically a small exam to prepare us for high school in science. I know I admit all the actors did a really good job playing their characters but it would have been better if they found younger actors. (like you said I totally agree) They didn't look like they were in grade 8 (they looked like they were in high school or older.) Middle school is normally grades 6, 7 and 8 but even the extras looked too old to play those parts. Plus I thought it was a high school because middle schools/public schools where I live don't have cafeterias but they do in high schools.

I always assumed this took place in junior high which is typically grades 7, 8 and 9 -- this would put them in 9th grade and kids do take biology in 9th grade

hmm that's weird my middle school had a cafeteria but my high school didn't, we just ate outside

It's only middle school, OP. The kids would be wearing caps and gowns if it was HS graduation and besides, not a single one has a car. Not even Tony; no way it's usual for a boy that age to still be driven to school by his mother.
