Why did Vanessa try so hard to fit in?

She should have turned really cold after Stacey treated her so bad.And ignored her or pressed criminal charges after the internet harrassment and bullying.Vanessa was young yes but she was also very naive and so was her mom.

She was just so used to being popular so she wanted to be forgiven and accepted back into the clique. Also, her mother pushed her into being friends with Stacy since she was bullied as a teenager and didn't want that to happen to her daughter.

There's a party on your face and I'm about to dance on it.

Also at that age it seems so important to fit in and be part of the popular crowd. I was bullied in high school and when I look back now I wonder why on earth I ever cared what those scumbags thought of me. I live in a different country and haven't seen any of them in years lol.

Its just a shame kids cant see at that age, that these are the crappy years and life only gets better after high school. (Apart from the bullies. Most of them end up pregnant loosers. And you know what? They can bang on all they like about how happy they are bringing up their brats as singles moms but they will NEVER have any freedom again) While I was backpacking the greek island a girl who attacked me in high school got pregnant. Another friend saw her back home and she'd gotten shockingly fat and spotty and looked terrible haha....Made me feel a bit better about things

been lonely at school is horrible.

also what we dont know as it wasnt shown in the movie is if she was bullied by others also, been in with a crowd can stop you been bullied so she was trying it for a way out.

also there is no guarantee that if she stopped trying to fit in they would have left her alone.
