Some of these movies mentioned in this thread were originally made for NBC back in the 90's. Lifetime obtained the airing rights to a lot of them.
NBC, ABC and CBS during the 90's made some good movies involving teen issues. In recent years Lifetime has picked up the torch. Some of teen related movies Lifetime has made have been bad. Cyber Seduction was pretty awful.
I thought Odd Girl Out, To Be Fat Like Me, Natalee Holloway, Gracie's Choice, Homeless to Harvard and Augusta, Gone have been the best ones so far.
Lifetime get bashed on a lot but I think Lifetime puts more of a decent effort into their movies and they cover some gritty issues. The cable network that makes awful movies is the Hallmark Channel. Everything on the Hallmark Channel is syrupy.
I think Little Girls in Pretty Boxes was pretty good. It wasn't bullying, but the pressure to be beautiful and tiny and having the "perfect body" in athletics.
