What do you think about the boy who took his video camera and recorded Vanessa being loaded on to the ambulance?
In this thread, everyone has already criticized the girls who bullied Vanessa. But what about the video boy? Would you video tape something like that?
I would not dream of taping something like that, it was cruel and it made me sick. She could have been dying, and then they exposed her on the internet. I honestly think Stacey and Nikki would have still laughed if Vanessa HAD died.
It was one of the most disturbing parts of the whole movie, it was truly sickening. It's worse to know that there ARE people out there who do that in real life.

He should have been jailed or at least had to do some heavy community service. That was an invasion of her privacy. I got so angry at this scene, I wanted to kick the tv lol. It's disgusting and sick how cruel someone is him and those girls seriously need some psych treatment.

He was a piece of crap...I don't think it was at all reaslistic, most high school kids would not be that cruel when someone's life was in jeapordy, but he was freinds with the girls who were just as disgusting...in real life, everyone would have thought he was a major jack off for doing that, and probably he would have gotten his ass kicked. I hated him...and it wasn't even really treated like that big of a deal...it was just another mean thing they did, and he was one of their douchebag peons.

I'm not in the least defending him, but I think he may have done it because it was big news and caught his attention. He didn't seem to have the decency to feel sorry for her, but I don't know if he was purely making fun either; he saw it as a newsflash for people his age. He may well HAVE gotten his ass kicked once the adults discovered and cracked down on the real level of bullying; one can only hope.

Of course he only taped her because he thought that might get him laid with Nikki or Stacy - they probably grabbed the tape, pushed him down a flight of stairs and sneered at him.
Also, the neighbors and paramedics probably thought he was a news crew member.

It wouldn't matter if he WAS a newscrew member, that's still an invasion of privacy. And I doubt anyone would mistake a middle-school boy for an adult.

As cruel as kids can be, I can’t imagine a high-school student actually being wicked enough to do this. Surely he suspected Vanessa’s life was in danger—in danger because of something he and his friends were doing to her. How did his conscience not kick in?
