im like 8 minutes into this movie and the chick that bale is in love with or whatever uhm is she supposed to be like 14 ??? cuz she looks really really young, and as if Eva Longoria Parker would ever look at Freddy Rogriguez ....theyre supposed to be married , wtf??i dont get it ... bad casting... Im not a huge fan of Rodriguez anyway,but i doubt eva would ever date a man she was taller than.... bad casting

That was the whole point of the movie, Jim's decent into madness after being a soldier in the Middle East, and how his friend deals with it.
yeah and that girl didn't look 14. she was just small like most mexican women are.
Lotta people say Eva wouldn't be with him but theres plenty of times gorgeous successful women are with a dude who can't get his *beep* together. Look around.
And in his case, (if you finished the movie I hope you did) it is explained that Rodriguez was the initial bread winner, not only supporting their home/life but also Eva's college bills. This included a lot of partying, Eva admits to doing alot of it back in the day (her college days im guessing).
So it is nice in my opinion that, because he was there for her financially and emotionally when she needed him, that she pays him back. Maybe far-fetched for us guys who can't score with Eva Longoria, but atleast a nice fantasy hahaha.
Watch the whole movie!! it's good! very interesting. and there are crazy people out there like this!! you can find them, especially if you hang around bars alot or parties, or anywhere I guess.
