Erik MAcarthur the director of the movie played Michael in the old
nickelodeon series Salute Your Shorts. Danny Cooksy who is going to
play "Minnesota Fat Slob" played Budnick in the show. I guess they
stayed in contact after all these years

Nickelodeon is still around lol.... but i think the appeal of alot of the shows is being the right age demographic for it. Salute Your Shorts and Hey Dude were great shows that i fondly remember, but i doubt if i came across them today i would think anything of them. Besides, at least you can still catch episodes of Degrassi!!
