Does anyone know how much it cost to make this?

I was searching the profile on Imdb, and it didn't say.. I'm always curious when I
see such an astoundingly awful film, that they convinced someone to pony up a considerable chunk of change to make it. Some poor schmuck out there was convinced that this could be the next "Beverly Hills Cop"..well, okay, maybe that's even a stretch, but at least the next "Troop Beverly Hills", box office
wise, as far as payoff was concerned. I mean, that's what it comes down to in an
Executive Producer's mind. If you're willing to pay for an actor who has SAG backing, that means you gotta pay a minimum of $5000 per day of shooting, because the union demands it. So there are at least four of those actors (counting Hilton, Mewes, Kieth,& Smith)plus you're paying for sets, and stuntmen, cameramen, catering, make-up, lighting..I could go on for days, but you all get the idea. These terrifically horrifying flicks are SERIOUS DRAINS on somebody's bank account at the end of the day. I just wanna know how big the drain for this one was precisely. Anybody know?

$1,000,000-3,000,000.

that 5k is for BIG BUDGET MOVIES. There are differnt rates for LOW BUDGET, which this was. I worked on it, and at the time, was told it was around 2mil. Yes a mere 2 mil. it also was shot in like 14 days. Kevin Smith appeared as a favor to Mewes, probably did it for free or very very cheap and did it in one day. I think Paris had to step in with some money too. The last night of production SONY picked up the film....I wonder if they even bothered seeing the "dalies". Something tells me they didn't which is why they released it thru their STRAIGHT TO DVD DIVISION. lol.

I can see him working with the means of the budget, and even being there as a favor to Mewes, but in all the years I've followed Kevin Smith, I haven't heard him agree to work for free since "Clerks" hit Sundance. He likes to admit to the publicity whore thing a lot, but he also states that if you pay him, he'll show up, if you don't, his wife won't let him go. She seems to be the voice of reason in his head these days, thankfully..(however she doesn't appear to be the final say on scripts).
