Why the Hate?

I just saw it and I enjoyed it! Sure it wasn't the film of the century but it's worth watching. The ending signifies how corrupt this world is. The judge's were biased and let Zeus win only because if they chose Atom to win, that Asian dude would be pissed and they'd loose lots of money. Hence, atom's was the "people's bot". It relates so well to the world we live in.

Still, I don't see why people hate it. I like the acting, the kid was great and that girl from Lost was good too. It was kind of predictable, but I expected an ending where Atom would knock Zeus out like how Joe Fraiser knocked out Muhammed Ali. Anyways, good film!

Didn't Zeus win because he dominated most of the fight? Atom came on strong near the end but it was probably too late at that point. I'm not a boxing fan so I don't know how the scoring works but that's the impression I got.

reply

not really, Atom almost knocked Zeus out, I was expecting that to be the end, but then Zeus got up and the final round ended. I don't know, but I still loved the movie!

reply

Unless there is a knockout, points win the match. If Zeus would have blown a fuse and stayed down, Atom would have won. Both were standing at the bell!

(Except in the Olympics, where points can win you the match while you are out cold on the mat. It's happened)

Do or do not! There is no try!

reply

Correct unless there was a TKO but there wasn't one called.

reply

Because idiots think movies like Superbad and Hall Pass are "masterpieces".
