u.s cash would be very valuable in a world like this for the simple fact

that U.S cash is made from a combination of Cotton linen meaning it would make perfect replacement material for clothing. when ever you tear or rip up your clothing all you would have to do is take a few bills to patch it up

I think there is plenty of clothing left over given that the dead does not change thier clothing all that often. Paper would be more valuable for writing and starting fire.
