So what woman can only use tiny submachine guns?

Kidding of course but I noticed how jennifer gardner how the smallest gun in the climatic gun battle. Think she would want something with a little more power and penetration.

Actually, since they were indoors for the majority of that action sequence, the MP5k was a perfect choice. In CQB, a smaller, more maneuverable weapon make sense.

Absolutely. The MP5 series are excellent close-quarter weapons.

Also, the newer MP7 series is really interesting. It's got a teeny tiny 4.6 mm cartridge... http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg49-e.htm

You're right. Maneuverability and rate of fire can make all the difference in a housefight.

In such a situation, I'd take a sub-9mm fart gun over a .45 pistol any day.

I think a rocket launcher would have been nice. You never know when you'll need a rocket launcher but when that moment finally comes, there is no better feeling than knowing that you brought one along. Not to mention getting to rub it in the faces of all the people that made fun of you for it. Who is saving whose ass now?! Eh?! That's right!

It was the one available (probably Faris' because he was seen earlier with one) to her after the car crash/explosion on the highway and she picked it up. In that kind of situation, you grab and use what you can and go with it.

If not for the MP5, Jason Bateman's character would not have made it. A full size battle rifle wouldn't have fit through the hole well and would have been uncontrollable from that position. One shot would have knocked it out of her hands.

I kind of thought the same thing when they show her with the MP5 in the car, but she obviously knows how to use it. In close quarters, the long rifle is a liability.
