why use abu hamza?

his name, why use it? couldnt they have made a name up? i know abu is in prison and teaches hate to the western world, but why use his name in a movie? i think it would have been best served making a name up, cos i just kept thinking about a hook

There are several Abu Hamzas', some of them being apart of Al Qaeda. It's like asking, "Why did they use the name John?"

The important piece missing would be the surname, al-Masri. No surname is given during the film if I recall.

Abu (Father of) Hamza (Strength) - Bit of a metaphor for the story.
