Okay, call me a pervert, but?
Were they just tryingggg to have as many shots of the daughter showing almost her panties the whole time? she is what, 10 years old or 11?

shareThat's why the rabbi was humping the air. It was an uncontrolled reaction on the part of a young sex-deprived religious cleric.

I'm a woman and I did notice and was wondering why they dressed her like that, several times too. Put some shorts or pants on that girl. It seemed really inappropriate to me and I can't imagine why her parents would be ok with it either.
shareYou have a filthy mind.
I met Cinderella once... she's actually kind of a bitch.
I'm a woman and I noticed it as well. I turned to my boyfriend and said, "Why did they dress a little girl like that?" and he says he didn't even notice, lol. I mean, did they have an objection to flannel pajamas? Not even just the panty shots, but there were many shots of her bare legs and her nightgown fell just below her bottom. I found it strange, surprised her parents didn't say something. But usually in these exorcism-type movies, the girls are always wearing a white nightgown, who knows why...

Yes, you're obviously a bit of a pervert. I didn't notice and had never thought about it until just now when you mentioned it.....LoL......
sharei noticed! so many upskirts
share........
Who the heck even thinks of this stuff when a little girl is on screen? It never crossed my mind........
Me too, and i got this to watch a scary movie and it delivered, the panty shots just kept appearing i could unsee. I could recall at least 3 moments, the one at the fridge, in the bed, one at the hospital when shes fully possessed and turns around to run and u can totally see those panties, damn thats so disgusting....
shareI saw them after reading this thread and they were too fast to really be that bad. You would have to slo-mo thru each frame, which I am sure some pervs will do after reading these posts
I'd rather die as a free man than live as a slave to the government.
so many upskirts? were we watching the same movie?
I counted a total of ONE!
There were plenty of times they could have shot a scene where it showed her panties and it wouldn't have been a big deal to non-Americans as when it would have shown, it was at parts that any girl wearing that outfit that ANY NORMAL GIRL THAT AGE would wear would have her panties exposed at the angle it was in. But they cut those scenes out in editing, so that Americans wouldn't complain their ass off over tiny stuff....
... but in the future, they shouldn't care what Americans would think since Americans seem to always find SOMETHING to complain about.
People who get offended on seeing a young girl showing her panties shouldn't be watching a movie about a young girl BEING POSSESSED by a demon!
A demon wouldn't have ridiculously high morals.
Didn't notice. Maybe cuz I see her as a little girl so her being pant-less went over my head as opposed to say, Halle Berry not wearing pants...now that I would notice.
shareI thought when she was in the bathroom it was shorts
shareI'm also a woman and noticed this--esp when she was in the bathroom and we saw her from behind (when she was gagging in the mirror). I was wondering why she was dressed like that.....a little weird for a young girl on screen...
shareSame here, I first noticed this during the mirror gagging scene (the point where it's most obvious) and then I started noticing it much more later on. At first, I thought that it was a full grown woman in a nightgown. (who seemed to materialize out of nowhere) But a few seconds later, I realize that it's the little girl. 10 year old girls should not be wearing such revealing stuff on camera, or in the presence of anybody in real life. I seriously wonder how her parents could agree with this. The only reason I can think of is that some celebrity parents just don't care as long as the movie makes lots of money. If it was me, I would never let any of my children be filmed in such ways. I may not have any children yet (as I'm still very young), but I would never feel comfortable with the possibility that some creepy pedophile watching the movie somewhere is probably jacking off to my daughter.
shareWelcome to the real world. It's just a movie, it's not like somebody gonna get all obsessive and follow the girl irl around the corners then do something worse. They probably will now that i mentioned this sht. Anyways i noticed only 4 moments where panties on a 10 year old were revealed, and those grey robes near the swings, thats just old skool creepy stuff, the stuf your grandma wore when she was your age bbbbiiiiitch :D

I wanted to bang the older daughter. Nice you could see down her shirt during the cheerleading thing. so you are a little more perverted than I am because you like the little one but eh.

I did sixty in five minutes once...
lol I KNEW someone would complain about this. Seriously, if you're going to complain about something like this, skip real horror movies and STICK to DISNEY!!!!
They were trying to make it realistic not some "kiddie version." In hospitals YES in real life they have to wear a gown and don't wear pants. It would totally take away the realism of the movie if they had her wear pants, a baggy jacket, etc... Taking away the realism would take away any scare/intense moments in the movie too.
Hi Megaman2005,
I'm a 40 year old woman who is a horror and sci-fi fan and I hate to break it to you, but this WAS some "kiddie version" of a “horror film”.
The scenes I believe that most people are referring to aren't the hospital scenes where she was being carried and then later thrashing around (which was soooo realistic as there was NO HOSPITAL STAFF there at night or security cameras catching all the action... give me a f-ing break)
Anyway, what some adults probably noticed was…
1. The scene in the bathroom where the camera did a very slow pan from the back of her towards her reflection in the mirror…
Now granted, in REAL life 10 year old kids go to bed in just underwear and a tee shirt or whatever all the time. But this was not a scene where a little girl was running down the hall on her way to bed in her underoos. And in other scenes, she was wearing a Little House On The Prairie night gown as a contrast of her innocence to the looming invisible evil threat. That’s a text book visual taken right from The Exorcist.
But that clingy white night gown in that bathroom scene… my god! It wasn’t that it was short, it was that it was showing the shape of her butt in a very J-lo sort of way. Why didn’t they have her wear that same innocent looking nightgown for THAT scene? Oh I KNOW, it was because they were using a slow zoom from behind. What difference would it make if she were just to wear that other more innocent night gown? Would the scene be less realistic and therefore less scary? No. In fact, what she wore did just the opposite. It distracted from the scene as I couldn’t help but to notice how inappropriate it was and wondered what the hell the director was thinking. Oh, wait… I know what he was thinking. He was thinking that pre-teens are the new teens so it’s ok to sexualize a child.
And before you even try and go there, I’m no where near some kind of a judgmental prude (I’ve see it all kid, trust me) nor am I the opposite and some kind of a perv for even “thinking that way”. A perv would say, “Ooooo” whereas an aware adult would notice and say, “Oh my GOD. Wtf!”
2. The other 2 or 3 scenes where they wanted her to appear “evil” by putting her in a super short dark grey tee shirt “dress” while wearing black boots and lots of eyeliner. Pluheeeeez! I think this is the “lack of pants” outfit that some people were referring to and it was a very UN-realistic outfit for a 10 year old. Unless she was a 10 year old pole dancing wannabe goth.
Sorry if I sound harsh, but my other friends and I found a few of those scenes inappropriate, distracting, and annoying. Not enough for it to ruin the whole film for us though as we all had a great time…although I found myself laughing and having fun more than being “scared”.
But maybe that’s because I’m a little jaded from seeing way too many real horror films.

TommyCSL is right. I stayed in hospitals a couple of times. At night...a floor with patients staying there might only have a couple of nurses on duty.
But all the other floors with no hospital beds would be completely empty.
I used to wonder around hospitals at night becoz of insomnia and there are whole sections where the lights are turned off and no one around except other insomnia-wracked patients. And I am talking about a large hospital.
There is no way those exits will have cameras since cameras are generally placed at the lobby entrance or where there is a lot of foot traffic. But staircase exits don't have cameras because they won't have the manpower to monitor every single exit.
People often mistake normal hospital for ER. ER is packed with people because the injured have nowhere else to go at 4 in the morning so it's a completely different ecosystem. And yes, they will have many cameras because ER is a dangerous place to be so monitoring for future disputes is necessary.

I'm a woman too and i agree with you 100%... It was really awkward to watch a 10 year old dressed up like that and no I'm not talking about the hospital gown.
Even at the end, when they showed both sisters sleeping on the floor, the way the camera showed them was definitely borderline pedo.
I don't usually make a brouhaha about such things but these were pre-teens for God's sake.
It was quite disturbing to watch.
Hey RitaJeanDotCom,
I agree, with you 100% I`m a 30 y.o. Latin American, I watched this movie with my girlfriend and we both look at each other and said, WTF! Okey maybe in Latin America we are a little more square than in north America, but the scene in the bathroom is just wrong, sexualizing a 10 y.o in a movie its IMO one of the reasons that you guys have sooooo many sex offenders (we have also of course, but not as many) in sum those scenes are inappropriate, shame on Hollywood, the director, the editor, film crew, ans specially her PARENTS!!!
Life is full of choices... pick ONE!
I guess you are one of those people who blames the victim for dressing inappropriately when she gets raped.
If you think a girl in her nightclothes is "sexualized" then you are the one with the problem.
If a girl is in short shorts or a skirt that just reaches down below their ass it's not because they think it looks nice, it's because they want attention from guys, in some instances it can be the girls fault that they set off the pedo, but it boils down to both their faults.
shareLet's be totally honest & say there is some truth to what you are saying (not the pedo being partially free of blame part), in many cases a young girl is seeking male attention by dressing provocatively.
But on the other hand, there are some young girls who do see other girls - perhaps a little older, perhaps a model in a magazine or an actress on TV, dressing in such a way & either develop their own fondness for risque fashion or dress that way simply to emulate girls they themselves want to be or look like.
I specifically referred to rape.
"Passion is just insanity in a cashmere sweater!"
Ironic, isn't it, that the people who complain the loudest about the sexualization of young girls don't seem to realize that they're the worst offenders in that regard. After all, they're the ones who noticed it first... <G>
shareI bet these are the same people that never miss an episode of "16 and Pregnant," either.
"Passion is just insanity in a cashmere sweater!"
I'm a 38 year old woman and said the same thing. I thought her bedroom attire was too old for her. My nieces are the age of the sister's and they still wear colorful clothing with cartoons on them. What Emily was wearing is what I would wear.
