Death by Dangerous Driving

When Catherine gets arrested for killing the footballer in the car crash, she admits to the police that she was driving at 110 mph while cumming!
This is the most blatant and obvious offence of the death by dangerous driving law ever.
I looked it up and killing someone in a car accident while driving dangerously carries a sentence of 2-15 years in prison. It makes absolutely no difference wether she intended to kill the footballer or not, she would go to prison.
Why is she released because they can't prove anything about the drugs??
it's nonsense. They might not be able to prove murder, but they don't need to, she would go to prison for 15 yrs for 'death by dangerous driving' anyway.
This movie is awful, and the writers have no idea what so ever about the law.
