Sharon Stone should get a lifetime achievement Razzie award

Basic Instinct 2 lead the field at the Razzie awards, just as I predicted on this very site the day I heard that this turd was being made.

Not only should this film win worst film of the year and Sharon Stone win worst actress of the year. I think the Razzie's should consider naming the award after Ms Stone.

If memory serves, I predicted this film would top Plan Nine from Outer Space as the single worst film ever made.

Today proves I may not have been too far off.

As I predicted on this site over a year ago (can't find the thread)Sharon Stone and Basic Instinct 2 swept the 2007 Razzie awards.

Long ago, I also predicted this film would be disappointing. Some on this site predicted the opposite.

But a lifetime Razzie is way too much. Stone was great in the first one, and is a much better actress than many others, such as Jessica Simpson.

How can one be "great" in a film about an ice pick killer?

Basic Instinct was a cheesy 90's film that got a lot of attention because of a 1 second crotch shot of Sharon Stone. Who by the way claims she did know that she didn't have underwear on. If you believe that I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would be willing to sell you.

I guess you have a point. Compared to Jessica Simpson Sharon Stone is great. WTF?

Why don't you compare her to Judi Dench or Kate Winslett? Those are great actresses. Not a hack like Jessica Simpson.

Incorrect. It was actually a fairly good film. Would have been even without the crotch shot.

Yes, she's done a few bad films, but she has had some great performances, too, including Casino and Bobby.

Hate her.....and any film that is stupid enough to use her as a headliner is doomed to fail.....not to mention an unecessary sequel 15 years later.

Can't wait for the Turks to weigh in on this......4 Razzies

If this is what the Razzie's are all about then they need a serious new staff of voters. I've seen sincerely bad Hollywood films that have made great money. Basic Instinct 2 isn't as bad as some people like to trash it. I'm disappointed in the Razzies now.

I actually thought Little Man would get more than it received. That movie was so bad, it made Plan 9 look like Gone with the Wind.

Would they just have a statue of her and call the award a "Sharon" instead of a Razzie?

"This screenplay will earn Paul Haggis another Sharon, mark my words".

The film sucked and anyone that says otherwise is an idiot......or Turkish.

Stone is such an evil person she doesn't even deserve the publicity from receiving such an honor. I wish she'd just do what Dirty Harry said "dry up and blow away"
