10 years too late

I saw BI 2 for the first time and I don't think it is as bad as the critics indicate. I think this movie could have done better if it had come up 4 years after the first on one and instead of 14 years. One, Sharon Stone is too old to play this role IMO. Some of you might find her attractive but the majority of people would rather see the Vixen in their late 30s at the most.

I thought the plot was a mess but the movie was at least interesting for a one time viewing. It just has nothing on the first movie.

I doubt there will be any more Basic Instincts but if there are then they need to find a strong character to take over the role from Sharon Stone and also find a character that can actually match wits with the on screen character.

Why will no-one give Sharon a break? I'd like to see you(to the females) or your wives look as good when they are close to 50.

You turned out quite the genius huh?

I have to agree. The sequal shold have been done years ago, only a few years after the original. Sharon Stone looks great for her age. Heck for any age. But during her facial closeups, you could see the lines, wrinkles, skin just a little too tight and thin in places. And when she talks about sex and how many different men she f^cks and in how many different ways, rather than a femme fatale, she comes across as a lonely, used up, aging old ho. Sorry.

I disagree that there should be more Basic Instinct movies with another lead. Like it or not, the original was Stone's movie. The plot isn't all that unique these days. At the time maybe, but not now. And there's nothing more pitiful than a movie failing movie franchise continuing with a new lead. Well, except for those based on comic book, of course.
