...with all the missing scenes. They really could help the movie. We all know it's not a masterpiece but come on, there are lots of scenes in the promo reel and the trailer that didn't make it to the final cut. The unrated edition is a swindle. See it for yourself:

I completely agree, the promo real looks SOOOOOO good! Love the end with the ice pick.
A complete version would be darker I believe the the released edit. To be fair, I really like the movie though it definitely feels more "mainstream pleasing" then the first one. I guess it's no surprise knowing that censorship has gone crazy since 1991.
I like how they thought about how Catherine Tramell would grow older: things she wouldn't do anymore, how calmer she is etc. But to really make the character work, we need to see she got more morbid too, and that the sleaze level has gone up a notch, just like with every addiction.
However, with the movie as we've seen it, she seems less hardcore as in the first one.
I'd love a director's cut on the DVD (and not a promo-only "unrated" title) that would maybe have a good 1/2 hour more. After all, if they bothered doing it for movies like Alexander, why not Basic Instinct 2?
