I really wonder if the "unrated/uncut" editions etc of the DVD were all part of a sales ploy considering that Basic Instinct 2 generally wasn't a major success.
First they released the original theatrical version with scenes edited/cut out (and no extra/special features?). But of course people wouldn't know this unless they did research and realised the cut/edited content.
Then they released a supposedly "uncut" version which had some of the edited/cut content from the previous reintroduced. but not everything that was cut/edited was re-instated in the uncut version (and still no extra/special features content on the DVD) so anyone who wanted to see the cut scenes would have to buy this one.
So what next?? are they gonna have yet another "deluxe/ultimate/special edition" version of the movie with all the cut scenes restored and maybe some special features and extras on the DVD so that people finally can watch all the content.
