This movie is a updated version of the John Wayne movie The Sons of Katie Elder. In that movie 4 real brothers get revenge for the death of their mother. It is very similar. Bobby is suppose to be like John Wayne's character who was a well known gun slinger.

I've seen the movie and I don't really get the comparision.
Maybe it's because the Dean Martin Character just cracked me up.

PS. The trivia says this is a homage to Four Sons of Katie Elder but I'm not 100% sure on that.
