This is my annual holliday movie

I really enjoyed it too.. Was far better than I expected. Don't see it as much of a Christmas film though because although it ends on a more or less happy note, I just think this is exactly what their mum was trying to keep them away from.. She wanted them to live good happy lives away from violence but her death dragged them back into it

I think it's underrated too, but I think it must get decent ratings each time it's on because they play it on tv A LOT.

I agree. I love watching it a lot around Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's weird how well it doubles as a holiday movie. lol

Almost Famous (2000)

I loved this movie also. I am in disbelief why it got such low ratings. The soundtrack is equally good. Won't argue about good ole MOTOWN! I enjoyed this movie, watch when it's running on cable. The cast was great. The poor mom getting killed as she looks at turkey's for Thanksgiving. She must have been a great mom to do what she did for the boys! Adopting and raising them in a difficult neighborhood. All the boys gathered around table as tho she was still there. Remembering what she would have said to them.
