We get give scary movie 5, fast and furios 52 or what ever, not to metion the tons of films that get spat out every year. Six rubbish twilight films and now it looks like this is the only A-Team movie... with this cast anyway.
This is the only film in recent years I can really say that I loved and have watch more then once... I didn't even think that I would like it (I was orginal going to by quantum of solace but this was in the card board sleve)
Never mind ahh, at least I've got ANOTHER Mission Impossible film to look forward too <<<<(Being sarcastic)
It didn't make enough money at the box office. Plus a movie like this needs a good budget, plus Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper would both command some pretty good salaries.
Yeah, I enjoyed this even more than the first Expendables. They may have to replace Bradley Cooper but I'm pretty sure Liam Neeson and the rest would be up for it.
"We gotta get even with those Socs! Let's do it for Johnny, man. We'll do it for Johnny!"
You replace Bradley Cooper, then you automatically lose a ton of box office draw. Bomb or not, this movie got it's revenue based on mainly two things: Bradley Cooper and the existing fan base for the tv show.
It's a shame the movie didn't do better at the boxoffice. It was much better than its revenue. I've watched it a couple of times. The casting was great.
Movie did not reach expectations at the box office and got heavily panned.
IMHO it is a movie that has got better with time..... problem is that far to many people want it to be like-for-like the tv series, but as a movie on its own right, its really good (if folk could just forget about the tv series, I think a sequel would have been out 2 years ago and we would be waiting for the 3rd movie this year)

It was already like the TV series, other than the typical Hollywood action, the characters and situations the team created were pretty in tone with the series, just not quiet as cartoony. I think more people were expecting the film to be more like an episode of show where they're "heroes for hire", which I would have expected the sequel to be. We at least have an extended edition of the film, which really should have been the theatrical version of the film because it added a little more to the story (the scene where Sousa finds out the tent she was watching wasn't them was something that would have totally happened in the show).
My only real complaint about the film is that they should have used The A-Team theme more, the title sequence should have been The A-Team theme blasting out not that generic sounding rock song.

Yeah. I think the TV series offered a pretty decent blueprint for how the franchise as a whole could've gone -
First movie, exactly what this film was. (Origin story; how they got together, "the crime they didn't commit," their prompt escape to the Los Angeles underground).
Second movie: what we remember from the TV show. Make it about them being contacted by someone who's "in trouble, no one else can help," and taking the job like they always do - just make it a more challenging job than most.
Third movie: borrow from season 5. Have them pull a job, but this time with General Stockwell, and in exchange for getting their names cleared (thus finally getting what they were after in this movie).
I say "three movies" because Hollywood loves trilogies, but really you could've gotten as many as you wanted in between the "first" and "third" ones. (Plus, have each movie include an opening gambit like the first one did, that's basically one more mini-episode per film). And I know Season 5 wasn't popular with many viewers; I agree with them, don't think it was a good idea to make an entire season out of it; however, I do think it's the right idea for a finale.
A Team 2/3 casts
Amy Allen - Jessica Alba
Decker - Tommy Lee Jones
Stockwell - (tempted to say Cavill) but maybe Mel Gibson (original choice for movie Hannibal)
Does it need a sequel? At the point in the timeline that they would cover, it would be retreading over the tv show. Though if one was released I would definately see it. Very underrated movie.
