I have a friend who has the same body type as JoJo and a couple of years ago she was pregnant. She miscarried at 5 months but although I saw her every day, you could NEVER tell she was pregnant.
I also have a college friend who is about twice the size of JoJo and my friend. I haven't seen her since college, but there are pics of her on the internet. She had her fists child about 18 months or so ago and there are pregnant pictures of her. You can't tell! even at full term!

How do we know her methods really work? How do we know that after the show the children didn't go back to their old ways, once they've got used to their parents new methods?
How is she qualified at this and has never had children? Despite beign educated.

Exactly, she made this lady now return her child to his room everytime he acted out, the whole method took over an hour. Imagine it being late, your a single mom, working an 18 hour shift, you start your day early and having to go through that sort of routine. Would Jo practice what she preaches? Would she be as calm as she is now? What are the long term affects of her methods? etc etc. And what are methods for a preteen?
shareShe says these things because it works. Kids will eventually get tired, that's a fact. If you can outlast them, you win.

shareWell, if the mother sticks to the method, the child will learn that and not test her near as much. The problem with many parents is that they do not take the time to be consistant and the children get away with way too much. I do realize that they are tired and it is hard, but in the long run, it is worth the effort, rather than the children turning into little monsters.

shareJo's method is the consistency of "follow-through." Authority figures have to use it so everyone knows the rules and that they are not to be broken. I work with late teens and young adults and have to follow-through.You warn the transgressor and have to follow through with the consequence promised. If you don't then the transgressor figures that he or she got away and figure you for a pushover and continue with their usual detrimental behavior.
