re: Swift family (s7 ep 3)

What's with this talking and explaining things to the little boy who needed to take his medicine?? What happened to PARENTAL AUTHORITY? The father was trying to get the medicine into the boy and Jo criticizes him for being authoritative (as shown on the dvd clip). No. If the boy put up too much of a fuss when the father tried to give him the medicine on his own...there were THREE OTHER ADULTS in that household, the mother, grandmother, and a nanny. Why couldn't one or more of them HOLD THE BOY DOWN while the father administered the medicine?? If the kid screams, too bad. It's MEDICINE that he needs for a medical condition. YOu don't discuss that with kids, especially little ones like this...just TELL them what's GOING to happen and make them DO it. Period.
