It's no different than some made-for-tv nature shows

Nice movie and all but I've seen the same type of documentaries for other species of animals made for television, namely lions, elephants, rhinos, cheetahs and, yes, even penguins. Does a big advertising budget really make anything better? Popular, I guess, since it overshadows anything else of the same or greater caliber. Thank goodness for PBS.

Actually, alot of the animal/nature documentaries that are made is alot better than this movie, and advertising doesn't make it any better. While I liked the soundtrack and felt it fitted, the occasional songs were just terribly out of place IMO. Most animal documentaries that are made don't need background sound to work, probably just in key events (like a hunt), but a good theme (like in The Blue Planet) is welcome.
