BORING!!!!!!!!!!
Who would actually pay to see this?
shareIt was noted that, by the time of the 2006 Academy Awards, this Best Documentary winner had out-grossed all 5 Best Picture nominees ($77 million vs. $75 million for Brokeback Mountain (2005)).

there just a bunch of penguins walking around!!!
should have only been like 5 minutes of video on some little kid show
I'm no critic or cynic at all but maybe a couple of minutes of penquins walking overland would be adequate, but this was practically the entire movie.
shareI love this kind of OP, when I'm beating myself for being a complete idiot, then someone like this comes along, and I get the proof of the fact, that mediocrity can be considered a blessing

This person obviously did not watch the movie if they think it was just about some penguins walking around. This movie touched me and left me in awe of these beautiful animals.
If it's magic, then why can't it be everlasting?
...if you wanted to be touched why not just watch a special on penguins on the animal channel or something....and just watching penguins during their everyday activity does not count as entertainment, more like education

Despite my best efforts, i cannot see how anybody could have a culutral interest in xbox, as its a machine. Also, i enjoyed this movie and enjoy my xbox, so stop stereotyping people who enjoy a bit of video gaming.
Meanwhile you can piss all over anyone who likes reality TV or 'pop idol'

....what does xbox have to do with any of this???
shareTo each his own. I like this movie and your opinion of it is not going to change mine, so we can agree to disagree.
I was there when all we had was each other.
It's boring if you don't like penguins. If you love penguins then it's the best documentary ever.
shareI haven't seen it, so I don't really have an opinion about it either way, but quite a few people did come to see it at the theater I work at. And believe it or not, it was mostly parents ignoring the fact that it was a documentary and brought their kids to see it. Most of them up and left halfway through when it hit home that it was a somewhat disguised documentary.
Nothing anyone says about a book, movie, etc., for or against, beats experiencing it for yourself.

Hmmm I guess just the comment you would expect from someone who doesn't know the difference between there and they're.
"Intelligent people with a cultural interest in things other than Xbox, reality TV, American Idol, and Hee Haw." I agree. People who take a break from all the other entertainment stated above and want to educate themselves about other things going on in the world. Plus, penguins are awesome :P
