So I just wanted to know if there was any way to get hold of the directors cut that was originally submitted. I would really like to see the Hirschbiegel version before Joel Silver, Mctiege and the Wachowskis got their claws into it.

Why, other than ego and arrogance, they didn't release it on the DVD I don't know.

IMHO no way we will ever see it. The execs behind the decision to reshoot have nothing to gain and much to lose if it's released.

Which is sad because this as delivered is an atrocity and the original cut sounds quite compelling.

where can I see information on this movie that would describe the director's cut and the reshoot? That stuff sounds fascinating. Thanks for your help
