What was the song that the 'castrato' sang? Why can't I find any full credits for this amazing program?

Murray Gold is the composer for the series, so I presume he wrote the song. The melody reappears as an orchestral theme quite a lot. If you go to the main page here on the IMDB, you can click on the link to see the complete crew and production credits - Murray Gold is there. Perhaps the soundtrack will be released - that should provide the answer.
