Two things *SPOILERS*

First, David Tennant's eyes are so piercing! I was like hypnotised. They are so unusual and richly colored! LOL, OK, I'll shut up about them now.
The second thing is a question. If Jack (Casanova's son) didn't talk through the WHOLE thing, why was he suddenly like pretty good friends with his dad when they got to Venice?

reply

He probably got laid for the first time somewhere along the lines. Like father, like son, after all...

reply

He seems to have received a serious smack in the mouth, too, somewhere between childhood and the final episode. That lip scar!

reply

Sorry to disappoint you but David's eyes are actually brown...he wore contacts for Casanova!

reply

Any particular reason why? It was the only thing that annoyed me, cos I happen to prefer his natural colour. I guess it was to match with Peter O'Toole?

reply

Peter O'Toole does have famously blue eyes, so changing them would have been rather more controversial than changing Tennant's. Still, he has brown eyes for Doctor Who. David Tennant, that is, not Peter O'Toole, exciting though that would be.

reply

The thing I noticed most about his eyes is that the color changes a bit throughout. I mean when he's straight on they're blue. But sometimes (and I think it's the lighting) they're brown AND blue at the same time. Then when you look at him from the side they're just brown.

----

With Jack I'm pretty sure they were going for the parallel between him and Casanova. Look at the ages they show him at. They're always within a year of the ages we see Casanova at. I think the only differences between them are that Jack didn't appear to have nosebleeds and that his dad actually kept Jack with him. In the end that's what made the difference. Casanova's mother gave him perhaps the greatest gift when she left him behind.

I always thought David had green contacts in this movie lol shows how much attention i pay lol. I prefer his Doctor Who eyes.
