Hey can someone tell me who plays the young girl who talks to the old Casanova because i can't remember her character name thanks

Edith is played by Rose Byrne.

It's indeed the very lovely Rose Byrne and she never looked more beautiful than in Casanova. She was also in Troy and the much underrated movie Wicker Park. Currently she's shooting Marie-Antoinette. Shame she didn't get the lead role in the movie.

She was also in I capture the castle, another underated movie!

The character was called Edith, played by Rose Byrne.

She was also in Two Hands, great movie, funniest bank robbery seen ever :)

Rose Byrne had a part in Troy aswell. Indcidentally Peter O'Toole who plays older Cassanova plays Priad in Troy.

Indeed she is. Apparently Peter O'Toole suggested her for the part of Edith after working with her in Troy.

Yeah, she was in the brilliant Aussie movie 'Two Hands' as Heath Ledger's girlfriend, and he went on to play Casanova in that movie version that came AFTER this version... and was okay, but nowhere near as good as this one.
