How many parts?

I got this DVD at the library, and it only came with one disc. There were no other DVDs. However, as I read this forum, I think I've missed loads of parts...? Mine ended when Edith told old-Casanova that Henriette was still alive.

reply

There are 3 parts. Is the part (you've seen) where he opens the letter and finds out she's still alive? That's the end of part two.

reply

Casanova was dying, and Edith was easing his death by lying to him. The letter had arrived from Henriette's daughter which told of her mother's death six months before. Edith was being kind. That was the end, there are no other parts.

reply

It was shown on TV in three parts, but comes all together as one on DVD.

SPOILERS!

If you saw the part with the incest (brother and sister), you've seen the end.

I'm anespeptic, frasmotic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericumbobulations...

I know! I had the same thing happen! I was really pissed! If you don't mind the cruddy quality, it's on YouTube under avonasaCPart10

Don't judge a book by its movie.

reply

In the US, it aired as 2 90 min. parts, instead of 3 1 hour parts.

reply

We almost made this mistake... my husband assumed when the credits rolled for the end of part one that that was the end of the disc. All 3 parts are on one DVD, just under 3 hours.
