So by your logic The Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, Cinderella, etc etc are "pathetic"? This film isn't advertised as real life. It is a fairy tale based on a fictional story by Charles Dickens. If your limited imagination cannot suspend disbelief, better stick to documentaries.
