This Movie Inspired Me To Play The Piano

I was at the end of High School when I saw the movie and years after, I pretended to listen to the music and somehow, it seemed to work. It was a funny feeling. Anyways, it has been 6 years now that I've been playing music and I'll start taking guitar lessons. This movie started everything for me and music has helped me through life in ways I still cannot believe. It has something divine written all over it in my opinion and I'm not even a religious person! The movie might have bad professional reviews, but the high public score doesn't lie : this feel-good movie has won the heart of millions.

That's really cool, that this movie made you take up music.

I've just seen this movie for the first time, and it's inspired me to go back to my songwriting.

I used to be a musician and writer, but I haven't written a song in seven years and I don't play or compose or record anymore -- except I've had a couple of song ideas nagging at me for the last few months, and I've ignored them. Watching this movie makes me feel like I need to reconnect again, get out my guitar and sit down and compose again.

Its good to see that the movie has motivated people with musical talent to pursue their dreams. I have some friends that are musicians and I believe that there is a special force of feeling that moves them do do something that they love so much. The one friend just plays music as a sideline but he performs because he loves doing it, not simply to earn money. He often takes existing songs and writes long extended versions, that never really existed but the added lyrics really enhance the original material and in a way, it makes it fresh and new and he kind of "makes it his own"
Real talent is a gift. Im glad that the people here are gifted and want to share that gift with others.
