These Kids Were Embarrassingly Moronic
Is there anything more to be said? I mean it's mind-blowing they thought this was the answer. Absolutely mind-blowing morons.

shareI still wonder what I, and some of the more level-headed people I hung out with would have done in the same circumstance.
It's easy to say now, being old, and sober, and conservative, how really stupid and moronic the people in this movie acted, kids and adults; but when I was younger, crazier, and partied quite a bit, well, I really just don't know.
I know for a fact, that I never would have been involved, I wasn't that kind of kid. And I would like to think I wouldn't have been stupid enough to just ignore what was happening once I found out this kid was being "kidnapped".
But the kid was just kind of there, partying like one of the gang. Without knowing all the circumstances, I'm not sure I would have turned anybody in.
I kind of hate watching this movie, because it reminds me what a jackass I was, and how much time I wasted hanging out with idiots like this.
the group was controlled by trulove & they all owed him something. the older brother owed & sealed the kids fate with his hostile words & actions early on in the movie. i wonder about the guilt those had knowing & even noticing the young victim held against his will, hikers included. think it all boils down to coulda, shoulda, woulda
shareI couldn’t look at Justin Timberlake for a couple of years after that final scene. What you wrote is spot on.

I really liked Yelchin in the Star Trek Movies.
Also “Thoroughbreds” is an under appreciated gem, despite his role being small.
He was also really good in “Fright Night”.
However, this is the film that put Yelchin on my personal radar, and I honestly can’t think of a performance by him that I don’t enjoy. Definitely gone too soon, there was so much more he had to give.
