Jake got Zack killed in more ways than one.

First he got him kidnapped because of the drug debt and all the back and forward between the two. Secondly, after talking to Frankie about killing Zack and Frankie talks him into greasing the kid instead, Johnny was actually going to send him home. In the next scene, we see Johnny calling Jake from a payphone and Jake goes berserk, threatening Truelove about Zack's disappearance. The whole purpose of Truelove calling Jake was to find out how much the family knew and if he was already suspected of the kidnapping. If Jake hadn't mentioned the kidnapping or at least not imply that Truelove was a prime suspect and threatening Truelove then most likely they would have sent him home.

You look at the world from a twisted perspective.The debt wasn´t completely his fault and even IF so...you DON´T go after peoples families,an unwritten rule immoral punks like Truelove don´t get. If I thought a dude I knew my whole life had kidnapped my little brother to get at me,I would flip the fakk out too. Actions produce consequenses but blaming Jake is nonsensical and morally deranged,man.

If you and me had a small-time deal go sour ,were buddies and I felt you owed me...Would it be YOUR FAULT if I shot your mother in both legs,for instance? Then you threaten me on the phone in a fit of rage and I go after your wife...does it make sense to say it´s your fault for reacting like a human being?

We can´t all roll over and let the Johnny Trueloves set a degenerate,depraved standard that blames those who get in conflict with sociopathic punks like him....and for only just that,being an opposing force to such a douche.
