Why did Shirley have sex with Lola. Did the taped recording of Shirley having the affair with the blonde girl get played? How did Carter get captured?

Shirley had sex with Lola as a way for Lola to pay back her husband's debt, but really he was just pissed off at Mercy playing the recording of the affair(so yes) and needed to vent his anger. Carter was captured when he was looking in a shop window at the monkey costume seen at the start of the show when a man jumped out of a car and beat him up and put him into a sack.
