Budget?

Curious if anyone knows how the 185,000 Euro budget was used. Was it on location and cast? The credits list was fairly large but still, the budget seemed a bit inflated for this kind of project. I've seen features with equally impressive cinematography done for 50-80,000$ American.

I don't want to be insulting but what you are asking is ridiculous...

The movie is a LONG short-film. 27minutes is 1/3rd a feature film. Feature films cost millions of euros, and they are usually of a much lower quality than Six Shooter.

If you could list some films with equally as impressive cinematography ranging between $50-$80k I'd love to hear them.

I can safely tell you that the fact he managed to make such a high quality piece of work for that budget is remarkable. The majority of that would have gone towards camera hire (35mm cameras are ridiculously expensive to hire) and the film-stock. You have to remember you not only have to buy the stock, then process it and then put it into a format that is compatible with editing. I'm surprised they managed to do it.

Then you have the obvious. Paying the talented actors, the extremely professional crew, all the extras, catering (which is a huge burden), hiring the train would have been a massive undertaking.

If you think 185k (or 125k according to IMDb) was a bit inflated then you should really look into some other short films along the same price bracket (I mean really look), and you will see what a step-above this film is.
