I would have either changed the year the flashback or the movie as a whole took place or cast someone a lot older. Harnett's a year younger than me - neither of us were even born yet in 1972, let alone 8 to 10 years old at the time: the part called for someone who looked like they could've been born in the mid-60s not late 70s.
