How did slevin and... [spoilers]

How did slevin and goodcat get to the boss and the rabbi? I get the plan.. Slevin and goodcat trick the the boss into hiring slevin to kill the fairy, and they trick the rabbi into demanding that slevin pay back a debt that isn't really his. Then they kill the fairy..

How did all that help them kidnap the men? After killing the fairy all of a sudden goodcat is in the boss' penthouse and the guards are all dead (presumably shot by goodcat). What did killing the fairy have to do with that? What was stopping goodcat from doing that from the start? And all of a sudden the rabbi's guards are dead and slevin walks in and kidnaps the rabbi.. how was this made possible? Why was slevin able to bypass the rabbi's security so easily and how did killing the fairy enable this?

Still very enjoyable movie. Hope someone can explain this.

They were both expected for different reasons so they had relatively easy access. They had already come and gone several times so they were somewhat trusted and everyone let their guard down. You could argue that was The Boss and The Rabbi's main weekness. Overconfidence. Both in Slevin's fear of them and in Good Cats loyalty.

The whole plan was there to get everyone to drop their guard because they never saw Slevin as anything but a nobody. With both Slevin and Goodkat entering and exiting both buildings multiple times they could learn the layout of the rooms and the patterns of the guards of both sides making it easy to take them out later. And just to add some poetic justice The Boss and Rabbi's sons were killed because when Max lost his bet, they went after his wife and son, so Slevin went after their son's as justice for his own mother.
