Just finished my 2nd re-watch, and I am trying to piece together the timeline from the killing of Morgan's son outside the entrance of the apartment block, to the unfolding of the plot and ultimately his and the death of the Rabbi.

Morgan mentioned to Slavin something about 20 years ago - anyway I wasn't paying too much attention at their 1st meeting. Or perhaps Morgan did not indicate when his son was killed? I thought he did though, not sure.

Seeing that Slavin was obviously grown up when he committed the killing, what was the timeline in the events which then unfolded, including the killing of Sol.

His son had very recently been killed, I'd guess in the last few days. The mention to twenty years ago was about when "The Boss"and "The Rabbi" were business partners. The Rabbi felt that people were respecting The Boss more so than himself so he attempted to have Morgan Freeman killed. That was the 6bullets in the gut reference. The Rabbi did manage to kill Morgan Freeman's wife. Although Morgan Freeman and his son survived. That's why they separated business dealings and haven't left their respective penthouses in 20 years for fear of one killing the other. Although I thought a weird lapse in plot was if they were both so protective of their children why were they allowed to come and go? Yes they had bodyguards but by that logic the boss and rabbi should have felt just as safe with bodyguards.
