Why is this so hard to find?

I have been wanting to see this movie for months after hearing about it on www.opiophile.org but I can't find at ANY store not even my local hole in the wall dvd shop that has all the hard to find hidden gems. I went to amazon to try and order it and they want 50 bucks!!!!

Is this DVD out of print? If so why? It seems like quite a popular film and Rush and Ledger are big names so you think this would be easy to find.
