Religion (and Dante's cross necklace)

Elias: overt Jesus freak
Jay & Silent Bob: Carry a bible to help them stay clean (although they rock out to King Diamond \m/)

Those were clear and make sense, but what I'm curious about Dante's cross necklace. He didn't speak of religion or get into arguments about it once in the film, right? Is there something deeper going on or was it a choice by Brian O'Halloran (is he super Christian or something?)

It's just interesting to have something be so shiny and prominent throughout the entire film yet it's not spoken about.

If you Google Brian O'Halloran, nearly all of his pictures have him wearing a cross necklace. Maybe he's a Christian in real life, not sure, never heard him talk about it. However, there are a lot of people that aren't Christians that wear cross necklaces and there are a lot of Christians that don't wear cross necklaces.

I didn't know you had to be "Super Christian" to wear a cross. And why would it be odd for him to wear it and be a Christian and not "talk about religion". A lot of people are religious and don't talk endlessly about religion.
