So when they get the names of the suspects and type their names into the computer, they always get a picture of them, but sometimes the suspect has had no prior convictions or arrests, so how do they get their info? Is it some kind of database that's tied to everyone who has some form of picture ID?

I was just wondering that too, I've been binge watching the show the past few days, I'm assuming they have a record of everyone who has DL's and state ID's in the database, they type the name in the system and the pic and info appear on screen.
