I don't care what people say, I loved this

The Muppet remakes of movies are not to be taken too seriously, I mean of course they are not like the originals they are just funny little spin-offs and people get too upset. I love all the Muppet movies and I dont give a crap what people say about them

huzzah sister!!! these people don't have a clue what humor is.

reply

Actually we do. We just arent imbeciles who are easily amused and have horrid taste.

And can't use proper punctuation?

As a comedy writer I found this Muppet work inventive and utterly hysterical.

I have a feeling that the Marx Brothers and the Three Stooges aren't (see that is how it is supposed to be spelled) up to your high standards either.

Now unass my area of operations.

People aren't comparing them to the original movies! They're comparing them to the original Muppets! They're changing the Muppets from what Jim Henson and Frank Oz made them to be: FUNNY - not bad humor, but funny. Things that were for all ages and would not be sensored.

Of course, you have to look at when the Muppets came out, and not compare them to what's out now. Now, just about everything is acceptable. (Unless it is POLITICALLY INCORRECT!?!) Kids' movies can have the same foul humor that adult movies have (which I don't think is appropriate for adults either.)

The entertainment system is losing its touch.

I liked it too. Is it the best muppet movie ever, no. But Toto sold it, sorry. Ashanti actually DIDN'T turn me off for once. Unlike her demon appearance on Buffy where I was cheering the removal of her demon head.

The funny thing is this movie remembered more Wizard of OZ details then even Wicked!!

I agree with the op. I loved the movie, if only for Pepe, my favorite of the newer muppets. As for the humor, I find it disturbing that parents will rant about the crude humor in this but praise other kids shows like Spongebob. Of course, I can't defend this as the best muppet movie (I grew up with the Muppet Movie and Great Muppet Caper, so those have a nostalgic factor for me) but I can't find any reason to condemn it like the rest of the easily offended ultra conservatives that apparently rate movies that don't meet their approval en masse.

I actually prefer this one to Muppets from Space, which I think is the weakest. It's not fantastic, but there are some moments of brilliance. If Disney hadn't rushed it out so quickly I think it could have been great.

I found the movie to be fun and creative. No, it's not the best thing the Muppets have ever turned out but it was still very enjoyable. I liked all of the references to the original books. My only problem in the Tarintino scene in the extdended version. It's very random and should have been a bonus feature instead of part of the movie.
