why are people so upset about nipple jokes?

Why is everyone moaning about the nipple jokes in this?

Nipples arent even remotely rude, BOTH sexes have them!!! Quite frankly im confused by this!

Given that an early Muppet special was called "Sex and Violence", I'm not so sure that this type of humour is as new to the Muppets as people like to imagine. On "Muppets Tonight" there was a sketch where a character from "The Network" was trying to censor the show, including a fellow who was kissing a fish. He was, of course, a "bass-kisser". In "The Great Muppet Caper" Janice talks about going to live on a nude beach. My point? Even though this is probably the weakest Muppet movie (well, TV movie) to date, you can't get too pious about the humour. Besides, nipple jokes are on par with fart jokes, as far as I'm concerned. Kids find them funny because they're just on the edge of potty humour.

As an aside, to someone who commented on the film's language, the term used in the movie is "witch-slapped".

Yeah, I found that part funny! By the way, he freaked out by moaning loudly, running around, and saying "I feel dirty!"

Yeah, the nipple joke didn't bother me. Unfortunately, the 'Girls Gone Wild' reference bothered me a little. Not for myself. Muppets were always filled with adult humor. Rolf talked about getting a drink in the "Muppet Movie" and other references of topics in that one. My only concern is that the muppets are being presented and marketed for a young crowd these days. Given the target audience, certain references might not be appropriate. Just my thoughts. Agree or disagree, it's okay. :) Other than that, Muppets are awesome and always will be. Does that make sense?

The Nipples were just put on Gonzo because they needed something funny in the movie (because the movie was and IS severely lacking any good humour)... It was still ridiculous though... if it was funny it would have been alright, but it's just unnecessary... it's sad to see what the Muppets have stooped to.

People who get upset about this are the reason we can never have any good Super Bowl Halftime Shows anymore (because prudes who spazzed out over the infamous "wardrobe malfunction" [yeah, Ms. Jackson's boob was on screen for a whopping 3 seconds, the poor kids are no doubt scarred for life ] pressured the Super Bowl people to "play it safe" from now on). If you want a real reason to hate this movie, hate it because it's a freaking terrible movie.

The more people I meet, the more I get why Jane Goodall spends all of her time with chimps.....
