Come on people, don't lie.

Admit it, you were all at least a little disappointed when you didn't get to see her head cut off at the end.

Considering we all know her ultimate fate and yet they end with her peacefully leaving Paris in a carriage, smiling. As if to say 'This entire movie was pointless and we're just gonna end in the middle of the story' when everyone really wants to see a full on no-cutaways shot of the guillotine coming down on her neck .

Not to mention, anyone who isnt educated in the French Revolution is going to think that's how it actually ended .

in the beginning, it is always dark

Yeah I was. I was kinda wordering why they didn't film that

reply

I was but I was more disappointed that they didn't include almost any of the drama leading up to that.

reply

No I didn't actually ?
This is just my own opinion, but I found the ending kind of poignant. As we all know what happens there was no need to show it, I don't think it would have fit in with the rest of the film.
We just see her riding off, unaware of her fate. And despite everything it feels sad.

Not gonna lie, I liked in The Other Boelyn girl when they went there and showed the hanging. Natalie Portmans character was simply disciplicable. As was the King, even more so. But she was the most selfish, greedy, manipulative, uncaring, deceitful Queen in history. Far worse than Marie Antoinette in my opinion. Marie was young, superficial and naive. Anne Boelyn knew exactly what she was doing.
