This was MUCH better than Behinde The Mask!

Sorry me again. Just watched Behinde The Mask for the SECOND time. I thought id give it a chance and take it was it comes (Previous time I couldn't really get into it) Anyways after the movie finished I felt even shocked that the first time. I was angry to see posts on here about how much BTM:ROLV was way better than Hatchet, But honestly Hatchet it had the better cheese which makes a movie for a so called old school better, rather than non expected cheese which ruins any enjoyment of a horror movie. It has the gore now this is over the top old school (every EVERY horror fan wants to see gore...regardless. this delivered!) BTM:ROLV didn't have hardly any gore did it? well from what I saw was dissopointing!. Hatchet had BAD acting which in my opinion I thought it was on purpose, if its old school and going back to the 80's they did a good job bad acting + over the top gore + cheese = instant 80s feature, while BTM:ROLV just had bad acting in a serious movie. I know I am going to get hammered for this post, But seriously. Hatchet was much better than this.

*Spoilers*

I think Hatchet did a good job with the ending too, while developing the characters through out the movie I wanted them all dead....and when it came to the end...I was happy :D where as BTM....hmmmm.....how did I guess she would survive :(

'THE Smackdown Hardcore Legend'

*Remember, its JUST a MOVIE*

I thought they were both good movies. I'm not sure the comparison is fair, just because they seem like such different styles of movies. Granted, both are horror movies, both within the slasher sub-genre, but where Leslie Vernon uses a documentary approach with heavy deconstruction of the conventions of the genre, Hatchet actually IS a slasher film with no noticable genre deconstruction.

They were both surprisingly entertaining, but I don't think they're actually comparable, even though they both emphasized humor more than horror. The way I see it, Hatchet tried to emulate old school horror movies, while BTM just tried to dissect them.

By the way, I thought the acting was pretty solid in both flicks (obviously over the top, but not unintentionally bad) and I absolutely don't agree with your notion that BTM was supposed to be a "serious movie".

Guess I'll stir the pot and say "Hatchetman", as much as it sucks, comes closer to "old-school" horror than "Hatchet".

Lol I stopped reading after I read "Developing the characters."

Anyway, I really like both films, but Behind the Mask is better.

There is no E at the end of Behind. No offense, but you might really studid if you took BTM as a serious movie. I liked Hatchet more as well, but I think BTM went right over your head

Let's do it to them before they do it to us.
