Hatchet or Behind the Mask: Rise of Leslie Vernon?

I think both were trying to do the same thing. A satirical comedy/horror movie that is kind of a love letter to the slasher genre. Leslie Vernon was a more obvious play on a mockumentary/slasher and Hatchet was more straight up gory slasher flick. Were reviewing both for our youtube channel. I was just curious as to which one people liked better (They are both on Netflix right now)

Behind the Mask- It was fun, interesting and had a good story. I loved the mockumentary style.

I found Hatchet boring. It was very gory and not much of a story. But if you are a gore fan, you'd probably like it.

Yeah I can definitely see that, Behind the Mask also had some great acting from it's lead guy IMO

BTM by a lot. Htachet was fun, but BTM was far more original and engaging. It's one'a my favorite slasher flicks of all time.

Behind the mask all the way. Hatchet I didn't really think was overly good. The sequel is really bad.

Wow, in this thread, it's unanimous: Behind the Mask was much better.

I like both of them, but Behind the Mask wins my vote as well; refreshing story, likeable characters (killer included) and a the mask work by Vernon is one of the most creative ones in a while :)

Hatchet is more fun and rewatchable. Leslie Vernon is a better film :)

Well Behind The Mask was garbage and I was a bit disappointed by Hatchet, but at least it was a well made film.
