Am I the only one?

I totally "get" what the Hatchet movies are trying to do by mocking old slashers like Friday the 13th. But I cant help but not like Hatchet at all. Yes, those old slashers can be pretty bad sometimes, but Hatchet is just awful.

I'm not trying to troll or anything, but for a movie to mock bad movies, shouldn't it at least be a good movie? I know the common response is "it's bad because it's making fun of bad," but it shouldn't ACTUALLY be bad.

I haven't seen Hatchet 3 yet but 1 and 2 are basically the same, and they're both just... bad. The acting is awful, the framing and direction is terrible. It's never scary, only gory. And I know those descriptions apply to many old slashers that Hatchet is "mocking" but I can't help but feel like it's just a terrible horror movie that someone pointed out reminds them of terrible 80s slashers (after the fact) and it gets away with its crappiness by reminding people of other crappy movies... While not actually saying or doing anything smart with that idea.

Am I missing something? Anyone?

It's just basically a gore fest without any other quality. I mean, none at all. And it has a terrible, terrible ending, to top it all off.

To me, this movie is not a slasher, either. It's just... gore with a bit of silly humor, and tits.
