Quick Question......

In the scene where Helen is screaming and slapping Charles, she says "If it weren't for your whores, I'd have kids now...." or something to that effect. What would whores have to do with her having children? And a few moments later she refered to her miscarriages. Did Charles give her a sexually transmitted disease to prevent her from having children? Just curious. I only saw the TNT or TBS version of this movie. I did not see the theatrical version. If anyone can help me on this, I'd appreciate it.

I just watched the TBS version myself where this wasn't directly explained but an alternative explanation could be while Helen was pregnant, Charles was out cheating on her. She probably somehow found out, overreacted as usual and the high levels of stress caused the miscarriages.

If anybody else was to blame it would be Madea because it's obvious she(he) is a terrible influence on Helen. Sorry, I couldn't stand that character.

I took it to mean that Charles was so busy with his whores he didn't have time for her.

2nd poster basically gave closet answer ~ she also stated that she was stressed out 'losing her hair', etc. Due to him not being around (i.e. being with other women) and her stress most likely caused her to miscarry. Sure it did not help that Charles probably didn't care to have kids with her anyway since he already stated that they were finished long time ago.
